Triple-A Methodology
Interreg 2 Seas

Triple-A will help Local Authorities in stimulating energy efficient home-renovations by home-owners, by encouraging them to adopt more low-carbon technologies in their houses. Therefore the Triple-A method is used.

The Triple-A method will be the result of a learning-by-doing approach by which both Local Authority and other project partners, and other peering local authorities, home-owners*, the energy supply side and other relevant stakeholders will be enhanced in the process of scoping, testing and evaluating new web modules, home energy monitoring systems, consultancy pop-up centres and real-life exemplars for energy efficient retrofitting. The received input will then serve to improve the implementation of all of them and will finally be drawn in a general implementation guideline.

The Triple-A implementation guideline will be a useful instrument for other Local Authorities, national governments and the European Commission as they will bundle best practices, barriers, bottlenecks, etc. for :
  • Strengthening web portals of Local Authorities to increase awareness and easy access to low-carbon technologies
  • Introducing Home Energy Monitoring Systems to increase awareness and stimulate adoption of low-carbon technologies
  • Setting up consultancy pop-up centres to increase awareness of and easy access to low-carbon technologies
  • Showing real-life demo exemplars for energy efficient retrofitting to increase awareness and stimulate adoption of low-carbon technologies
